LIVE: Mindful Moments Meditation Sessions
It's finally time!
Myself and a friend and fellow MSW student at the University of Michigan are hosting mindfulness meditations sessions twice a week that started this past Wednesday, September 16th. We have been wanting to do this for months, but all of the changes due to the pandemic really delayed us in our ability to get it off the ground. We're here now though - better late than never during our last semester in graduate school together. Who knows though... even though we're currently operating through a U-M student organization, we don't need to be connected to the university to host these classes. Stay tuned to see if we can continue to offer these after we graduate in December!
These live sessions will be on Wednesdays from 5-5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 12:30-1 p.m. All of our sessions will be inclusive of all individuals who wish to participate, including all levels of experience, and all sessions will be virtual via Zoom. (For the Zoom meeting password, please email us at mindfulmoments-requests@umich.edu.) You can learn more about our U-M student organization, called Mindful Moments Meditation Group by checking out our Maize Page. These sessions are open to anyone and everyone both inside and outside the U-M School of Social Work. We want to be able to support as many people as possible, because during these stress-inducing times, mindfulness can support us in so many ways.
If you have any questions, or would like to be added to our email listserv, please email us at mindfulmoments@umich.edu. We hope to see you in a session soon!
