Four Years of the Sadie's Love Scholarship

 

Four years ago today, my high school art teacher messaged me on Facebook and told me that she was creating a scholarship to encourage students to do public service and recognize those who do. She shared that since I was the inspiration for the scholarship, she was naming it after me. 

 

Four years later, it is an honor to say we have awarded the Sadie's Love Scholarship to 12 students, granting awardees a total of $4,500. These 12 awardees have completed hundreds of hours of service to their community.

 

To be recognized and honored in this way was, and is, such a blessing. It has encouraged me to continue giving back to my community wherever I live.
